After launch, in just 3 weeks we managed to expose the new website to 27.000 passionate barbeque enthusiasts, where some 2.000 even signed up a paying VIP members. Today, 3 years later, we have more than 30.000 members in our online community, where the members are able to share knowledge, find recipes, participate in courses and buy products in our online shop.

The dream of a Weber community

Weber first started in 1951 and is today an international super brand and the company behind the world renowned kettle grill. Barbequing nowadays is a passion for a lot of people. This is why Weber wanted to offer the barbeque enthusiasts the possibility to share their passion with others while at the same establishing closer bonds to the Weber brand.

 

 

A paradise for barbeque fans

Based on this, Weber Stephen created Weberklubben, which is an online community and a wish come true for every barbeque buff. Through this community, Weber will inspire members with recipes, special offers on courses and information about new products.

Furthermore, the members have access to cookbooks, kitchen and barbeque accessories and also exclusive merchandise. This is facilitated by the integrated webshop which is based on Dynamicweb eCommerce with integration to the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The members can create their own blog on the website and in this way share their experiences and advice with their fellow Weber members.

 

Reinforced brand through community and integrated e-business

With Dynamicweb as the new online platform, Weber has come closer to their target group. Thanks to the many blog posts, forum discussions and questions for the experts, Weber is gaining valuable insight into the behavior and needs of the customers. At the same time, the target group feels that they are being taken seriously which altogether reinforces the Weber brand and the customer loyalty. The integrated webshop has defined a new sales channel for Weber, which also stimulates the sale in the physical shops, since many customers evaluate the products online before buying them afterwards in the physical shops.

Today, Weberklubben has more than 30.000 members, out of which more than 2.000 are paying VIP members.
